Gold Leaf
A tape-and-transformer saturator that adds the warm shimmer of an old reel without the wow and flutter.
Gold Leaf is the saturator on every bus of First Rites. It models the input transformer and record head of the studio’s tape machine. It skips the transport, so you get the harmonic gilding without the pitch wobble.
Controls
| Control | What it does |

| Leaf | Drive into the transformer. Gentle below noon, golden above. |
| Burnish | Tilts the saturation toward the low or high end. |
| Hiss | Adds measured tape noise, tuned to sit under the mix. |
| Mix | Parallel blend, so you can gild only the edges. |
Requirements
64-bit host supporting VST3, CLAP or AU. Apple silicon and Intel builds are both included. The plugin is free; the source is GPL.
