First Rites is the first thing recorded in the new room: three pieces, one take each, with the windows open.

Each drone is built from a single chord left to ring. We slowly detuned it by hand until the room began to answer. The hiss on the last track is the radiator. We tried to remove it and the piece fell apart, so it stays, and gets a credit.

These are short sketches synthesized as placeholders. Real releases ship as MP3 or AAC (.m4a) files in the album folder, tracked with Git LFS.
